Cristina Vega has never been afraid of color.
Whether it’s fuchsia, grey, ash blonde or green hair, she dares to be bold. And the same philosophy translates to her handmade flower designs. Available in a variety of hues, prints and textures, Kute & Krafty paper flowers are the perfect gift for someone special or a little pick-me-up for yourself that requires no maintenance and lasts forever.
Born and raised in Chicago, Cristina’s love affair with crafts began when she was in preschool. Armed with a bag of supplies (inspired by one of the skits on the popular children’s show Barney) she set out to create whatever she put her mind to. And once an arts teacher praised her work in a fifth-grade ceramics class, Cristina never looked back.
“I thought this is it, this is what I want to do,” she said. “I want to be an artist.”
While she works a 9-5 as a payroll administrator, Cristina is determined to turn her hobby into a bona fide #SideHustle with Kute & Krafty. She unveiled the Etsy shop in April 2015 and has been busy cranking out beautiful blooms.
A self-described perfectionist, Cristina takes her inspiration from nature and won’t stop until her flowers are lifelike and precise.
Whether you’re a musician or book lover, bride-to-be or fellow color lover, there’s a flower waiting for you at Kute & Krafty. And if you want something a little more unique, ask about custom orders.
